Cards duplicated:
February and April – Knight of Wands
February – 5 of Pentacles, Page of Swords and
Strength
March – 3 of Swords
April – Ace of Cups
We seem to be caught up in a loop of returning and remaining energies – as you can see from the amount of duplications, only 2 previously unpicked cards have turned up
this month – the others have shown themselves before over the past 3 months. The odds of this happening when I’m dowsing from a pack of 78 cards is very slim. The two new cards (3 and 9 of Pentacles) are indicating that there is beginning to be a light at the end of the tunnel – small rewards coming and a feeling of pride in how we have handled things.
We start off the month with our hearts being open – whether we are looking for a committed and loving relationship, or we are opening our hearts more with compassion for our fellow human beings and creatures from the animal kingdom, that are going through various hardships, and wishing to help them more in a tangible way. The energy of compassion has definitely been building over the past couple of months for many of
us.
As with last month, in the early part of the month there is definitely a feeling of wanting to expand – whether some of us are moving home, changing work situations or have a feeling that we have outgrown our current lives and want to try something new – the energy of wanting change is very much with us.
There could also be a few arguments around this time, where emotions are running high and misunderstandings can be rampant. The best we can do is listen to other people’s viewpoints, try to understand their perspective and don’t assume anything – so many arguments start with an assumption about someone else’s beliefs, rather than starting by asking the person what their beliefs are in the first place.
Coming up to the middle of the month many of us will be ready to walk away from situations that no longer nurture and sustain us. We will be able to look at them a bit more clearly and ask ourselves ‘Do I stay with what I have, or put my energies into something else?’ Invariably, not everything about our current situation is negative, but we have to weigh up if the positive
outweighs the negative to the extent that it would be best to stay rather than leave. Asking ourselves if we would be prepared to be doing what we are currently doing a few years hence is a good idea. If the answer is yes, that’s fine, but if the thought of it fills us with dread, then it’s probably best to take the plunge and make plans to move on.
Coming towards the last part of the month it is wise to keep our own counsel. If we have decided to make a move, then it’s best not to announce it to all and sundry until it is very firmly established in our own mind. The reason being, people can put doubt in our minds about the changes we are planning to make and kill off our dreams before we even get started. They often don’t do this intentionally but, because they
personally don’t resonate with the changes we want to make, they might think that it is a bad idea for us too. It is also important to keep away from gossip and gossipy people – it is a distraction which can get in the way of the plans we are hatching. There is also the indication of getting small rewards for efforts made – there is work attached to it, but more money could be coming our way.
We are likely to arrive at the end of the month feeling quite emotional about one thing or another. We need to make sure we don’t get into emotionally charged discussions which often become battles driven by ego. Emotions and feelings are necessary for us to map out our direction in life – but they need to be allied to love and not fear. We have all seen the damage that
emotion driven by fear can cause – watching the news is evidence of that. It is always a good idea to sit with any emotionally charged situation and go inwards, ask for help to decipher it and to show the peaceful way forward. Meditation is a great way to tune in.
Our luck for the month of May is to
look at all the things we’ve achieved and be willing to pat ourselves on the back and be proud of those achievements. Many people zoom from one goal to another without actually acknowledging the achievement of each goal and giving themselves the time to bask in the glow of a job well done. So, take a break – pat yourself on the back and know that you’ve done well.
