What I found interesting when I dowsed for April’s cards was that we haven’t left the energies of February and March behind us yet. The Knight of Wands and the Devil have turned up again – last appearing in
February and the 2 of Swords and 10 of Swords have continued on from March. The themes of expansion and movement plus dealing with self-improvement are still active along with the tendency to ignore what is unpalatable. Thankfully there is also a sense of the weight being lifted off our shoulders when things get too much and we get into overwhelm.
We start off the month of April with the message to get off the fence and don’t hide our lights under a bushel. If we have a good idea, it’s time to tell people about it – it’s time to be seen and, if you are in business, time to step up the marketing and networking. Being shy and retiring won’t help us in this present moment.
The beginning of the month is powerful. There is a need for expansion or a move of some sort, where either your home or business feels too small and needs to expand – either in physical size or through ideas and new ways of doing things. If we feel resistance to the changes indicated, courage is needed to look deep inside ourselves to discover what is holding us back. Are we
too deep inside our comfort zones and reluctant to show up completely in the world? What habits need to be discarded or changed to some degree? We also need to rise above the strong temptation to give up and sink back into the tried and trusted familiar situations, when what is required is for us to show up and share our unique gifts – there is no one who can do what you do, exactly the way you do it.
Love is in the air around the middle of the month. This could be the beginning of a new love relationship for some, especially if you are ready for commitment. For others it could be the beginning of a new business partnership. Whichever it is, remember to keep your heart open and expect the best from the relationship. Leave your baggage at the door (hopefully never to
be seen again) and don’t expect the coming relationship to be similar to past ones – that doesn’t have to be the case. Expect the best and that is what you will receive.
Coming up to the end of the month, we could find ourselves getting a bit short tempered and snappy with those around us. We just
don’t want to deal with situations, which we could actually be guilty of having created by not being clear about our intentions in the first place. If we take this on board as a warning, then it can all be avoided by taking early action to make sure that the people closest to us completely understand our stance on anything that is happening in our lives right now. That way there will be no misunderstandings to create friction, and we will have avoided a few headaches along the
way. We do need to make the effort to be focused and disciplined or else we can easily go off course at this time.
As April comes to a close there is again the feeling that we are being looked after – either by physical or non-physical beings. If and when we get into overwhelm, just ask for help and
it will be there to lighten our load.
Our good luck throughout April is that we will be learning more about ourselves and our gifts and talents – and could surprise ourselves at what we find we have an aptitude for. Providing we take the leap of faith asked of us at the beginning of the month, we will be
presented with a path to follow which will lead us forward into an even more fulfilling future.
