Tarot Card Reading for the Year 2026

The starting point for 2026 is about embracing new relationships of all sorts.  The people coming into our lives will challenge us in many ways!  These could be romantic or business relationships and everything in between. These new friends will lead us down the road less travelled and show us how much more we have to offer the world – the gifts that we didn’t know we had and so much more.

Our powers of intuition will be getting so much stronger which can be challenging for those who like to control all aspects of their lives.  We are being challenged to rip off the protective layer that we’ve built around us and go with the flow.  This entails tapping into our gut feelings rather than accepting everything that we are told without question, even from previously trusted sources who might be well intentioned but might have been mislead themselves.  It’s all about tapping into our inner source and how we feel about the information we have been given – does it resonate or send chills down our spine?  Our motivation will be to make willing sacrifices in order to embrace a better life, and our intuition will guide us in choosing the better options.

Some of us may already have sailed into smoother waters and left anxiety and tension behind us, which will enable us to more fully embrace  the imminent changes ahead.  We will attract the money and resources that are needed to move forward in our lives and take advantage of the adventures ahead.  As time goes by, we will get braver and be prepared to instigate chaos and disruption in our own lives in order to ‘shake things up a bit’!

The people around us might have witnessed us living a quite boring existence thus far – nothing exciting happening at all.  That is about to change, and we will be dreaming of nurturing new projects and/or planning pregnancies with hope in our hearts.  These hopes have a good chance of coming true and could catapult us down a new life path where hobbies could become our new source of income and anything boring will be a thing of the past.

Our luck this coming year is not to hold on to anything that is dead or dying.  When a scenario or relationship has run its course, thank it for the learning experience and move on.  I observed a bee once when on a shamanic retreat – what I noticed was that the bee never landed on a dead flower but always on flowers that would nurture it.

Our challenge in 2026 is not to worry ourselves into a state of paralysis.  Fear and worry trap us in a prison of our own making and that is often the reason why it is pedalled so freely on social and mainstream media.  If we succumb, we are literally handing our power over to other people who have their own agendas and whom we will never know or meet.  2026 is about standing in our own power.  If things worry us, then write a list of everything big and small.  If there is something we can do about it, then do it, cross it off the list and that takes away one worry.  If the worry is outside our control, then what’s the point of worrying?  We can’t do anything about it, other than send positive thoughts to the situation, and it takes away our joy.  What’s the point of that?  It will probably never happen anyway, which is the case more often than not.

Tarot Card Reading for January 2026

Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it, and you will find it helpful.

September and January – Ace of Wands

According to the returning cards we are being asked to hide away for a bit and resolve any recurring situations that have yet to be finalised.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help and don’t try to do everything by ourselves.  We might also be inspired to try something new like changing jobs or starting a project.

As we start off this month we could be feeling more than a little stuck and that any way we turn we are going to upset one person or another. This situation is more than likely one that we have created ourselves either by being ambivalent or completely ignoring a problem and hoping that it will go away on its own. News flash – it won’t and it is time to deal with it head on and put it behind us.

The first part of January is a good time to literally take time out.  Meditation and self-reflection will be particularly useful right now as it will give us the time to tap into our imagination and intuition and decide what we want to manifest this year.  It’s a powerful time for New Year’s resolutions.  We must be realistic though as Rome wasn’t built in a day and we need to accept the fact that patience will be needed to manifest our dreams into fruition.

In the middle part of the month we will be cooking on gas.  Our way forward will be becoming clearer, and we will be discovering new skills and talents.  Exciting times!  Our soul purpose will either appear or become more evident and new opportunities will show themselves.  We will feel driven towards a particular calling  it won’t be specifically about money, but more about something that our soul desires.

Towards the end of January some of us could be starting a new business/project and delving into unfamiliar territory.  If we have already started learning something new, then it could now become more significant in our lives.  It is important not to just drift along as the initial enthusiasm will eventually lose its urgency.  We need to set some solid goals – where do we want to be in 3 months, 6 months etc. That will keep our new destination on track.

As we come to the end of the month we must be wary about taking on too much work. It is important to find the right balance between work and play and set priorities so that we aren’t always running on empty. This is an important part of setting our goals – fun time needs to be factored in.

Our luck throughout the month is the energy of movement and change.  Some people will be moving home, others will be changing jobs and yet others will have this sense that change is coming and they’d better be prepared.

Our main challenge this month is to ask for help.  The Universe has been watching and knows that some of us are at the end of our tether and need help with climbing on to the next rung of the ladder.  All we have to do is send up a request that we’d like the Universe to step in and give us some assistance.  The Universe is listening and itching to help in whatever way it can.

Summary – January is a month for dealing with unfinished business and embracing new experiences and situations in our lives.  The things that we need to keep in mind is to ask for help and not try to do everything on our own and not to set unrealistic or unachievable goals for ourselves. Life is meant to be fun and not a list of chores to be done which gets longer by the hour!
