Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it, and you will find it helpful.
Cards duplicated in the last 6 months:
March, July and August – Queen of Cups
June and August – 2 of Pentacles
March and August – 9 of Pentacles
March and August – 9 of Swords
The emphasis with the returning energies is that we need to expand our knowledge – learn new things, study or start a new project but to also approach it with joy and not to take life too seriously. We will then have a very good reason to pat ourselves on the back and know that we have done the best we could. This is very important
as on the periphery of our vision there is the tendency to embrace fear and anxiety for the future and link it to what we feel we should, could or might have done in the past. This isn’t a time to look back, but to look forward with a light heart.
As we start off this month King Midas has come to visit so some of us might get a windfall of some kind and have a bit more money in
the coffers than we are used to.
The first part of August is the time to put our marketing hats on. If we have a good idea, then we should share it and not hide our light. All good and positive ideas and energy are needed at this time – no exceptions! There is also more spiritual wisdom to be found which will allow us a deeper understanding of others and increase our
integrity which will, by extension, enable us to come out of difficult situations in a positive way. Walking a mile in someone else’s shoes comes to mind!
In the middle part of the month we will be tested on how much of that spiritual wisdom we have taken on board as some resentment and conflict could arise with people close to us, or in our vicinity. To resolve the issue in
a satisfactory way for everyone concerned it is important that we listen and not immediately get on the defensive. If we don’t take responsibility for how we made another person feel, for instance, a friendship could be broken beyond repair. Often, we hurt people unintentionally, but the other person doesn’t know that unless it’s explained to them. The reason I’m labouring this point is because fear, anxiety and regrets for things we have or haven’t done follows hot on the
heels of the first card. These mid-month cards indicate that lasting damage can be done to relationships unless whatever issues arise are dealt with in a loving, authentic and compassionate way.
Towards the end of August we will have good reason to pat ourselves on the back as we know that we have done the best we could. (Maybe in the way we handled the mid-month
conflict??) It feels a bit like an ending and a new beginning for us – we have done the best we could to date and now we are getting restless and feel that we can do more with our lives. It’s not yet time to forge forward, but the flame has been lit and it will only get stronger and bigger as time goes by.
As we come to the end of the month we are starting to think in new
ways. Our horizons are expanding, and we don’t want people to stand in our way. It is also important that we follow our hearts and intuition so getting our nearest and dearest on side would be a wise move.
Our luck throughout the month is balancing the work with fun and not taking life too seriously. We need to keep the energy light and joyful rather than negative and
fearful.
Our main challenge this month is to start a new project or study a new subject. Maybe challenging our beliefs and being open to having been misled on various issues. In this time of AI and misinformation it’s hard to know what is true and it is a major challenge to reassess our position on certain subjects and possibly come to the conclusion that we had bought into
a lie all along.
Summary – August is all about our internal journey and shifts in our consciousness and knowledge. This is a month of putting ourselves out there and being seen, as well as a good dose of self-development.
Wishing everyone an abundant and illuminating August and see you
again in September.
