Tarot Card Reading for January 2025

Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it and you will find it helpful.

What is really striking is that the 6 of Cups has appeared 4 times in the past 6 months.  This card indicates that our dreams are about to come to fruition and peace and tranquillity are right around the corner.  There are new opportunities, but we mustn’t rush in where angels fear to tread – we should weigh up our options.  It’s time to be single-minded in our goals and we can achieve success.  However, our goals need to be heartfelt and not just about the money.

As we start off this month we are being asked to be brave, get off the fence and promote ourselves and our ideas.  This is no time to be hiding in the shadows.

The first part of January could see a new person coming into our lives, either romantically or to do with business.  It is entirely possible that this person could give us the shove we need to get out into the world rather than staying in our comfort zones.

In the middle part of the month we have some decisions to make.  A certain situation might not have turned out exactly as we expected, partly due to us having our rose coloured spectacles on.  We need to decide whether we are going to grin and bear it or cut our losses.  My advice would be to cut our losses as it is the obstacle standing in the way of our dreams coming to fruition and the peace and tranquillity that we crave.

Towards the end of January we need to be single-minded in achieving whatever goal we have in mind and not let anyone distract us.  Success can be ours if we keep our focus.

As we come to the end of the month we will feel more connected to our soul purpose and looking at why we are here on this planet at this time.

Our luck throughout the month is making wise and thoughtful decisions through carefully weighing up the options available.

Our main challenge this month is to follow our heart and only engage in activities and projects that fill us with passion.  We need to try to leave financial compensation out of the equation if it’s leading us in the direction of boring and uninteresting!

Summary – what struck me was the absence of Pentacles in this spread.  Money and the material things of life didn’t turn up at all this month.  This indicates to me that our dreams and ambitions aren’t totally dependent on money – like the old saying goes – do what you love and the money will come.  If we follow our hearts and our guidance all will come right in the end.

Tarot Card Reading for 2025

The starting point for 2025 is about making wise and thoughtful decisions.  It sounds simple but can be tricky because these decisions are challenged by financial concerns.  Many people are short of money and there is a strong temptation to go where the money is. However, following the money isn’t necessarily going to lead to the best decision making going forward.

It's important to walk our talk and ally ourselves with people who have similar goals and ambitions, or who will at least support us in ours.  If there are any people who are holding us back at all, it is time to bid them farewell.  I hasten to add, this doesn’t include family members or friends who have genuine need of support at this time – it is only the people who are self-serving and unsupportive.

Our motivation should be all about filling our lives with passion – this could be related to relationships of all kinds.  People who we love passionately, or who inspire us to follow our own passion, whatever that may be.  We ideally should be waking up each day with anticipation and excitement – that is what our goal for 2025 should be.

In the recent past so many of us have been treading on eggshells around others, afraid of their reaction to what we might say or do.  It is time to put the past behind us and be our authentic selves.  Ultimately, we will be left with the people who love and support us, even if they don’t always agree with us.  The people who can’t accept our authenticity aren’t on the same wavelength or vibration.  They need to find their own people who they do resonate with.

By weeding out relationships that no longer serve us (or them) we will create new friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime.  We will be able to support others as they support us and all forge ahead together. Onwards and upwards!

If we have a specific vision it is important that we see it through to its conclusion.  There will always be some distraction or other that can take us off course, but holding true to our vision (even if it’s something general such as health or happiness) will make all the difference to where we end up at the end of the year.

We must try to keep our mood light and not take life too seriously, whatever might be going on in the outside world.  Negative energy can’t compete with positive energy in the long term – love will always triumph over fear eventually.  Therefore, having fun and laughter as our focus will help others who aren’t already in that space.  I’m not talking about ignoring people’s pain, but to do anything we can to help alleviate it. However, having a doom and gloom outlook isn’t helpful to them or us – a smile goes a long way.

There will also be the opportunity to start new relationships and business partnerships with compatible people, which is what many people wish for.

If we have managed to keep a positive outlook, eliminate the negative people from our lives and pursue things that inspire us with passion, we will end 2025 with excitement and enthusiasm about our future.  We will know our path and the sun will be shining brightly on us as we explore it.
