Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it and you will find it helpful.
Cards duplicated in the last 6 months:
October and February – Ace of Cups
September, October and February – Page of Cups
October and February – 6 of Pentacles
September, November, January and February – 9 of Pentacles
September, November and February – 2 of Swords
September, January and February – 3 of Swords
November and February – 4 of
Swords
November, December and February – 5 of Wands
All but two of the cards have been repeated over the past six months. They don’t show any major events, just everyday stuff that we have to deal with on an ongoing basis.
The energy this month feels very diminished and could leave us all feeling very flat and/or depressed at times unless we guard against it.
As we start off this month we could be feeling quite overwhelmed with all the things that we have to do. We would be wise to look at our priorities and also check out
what we do for others which they are quite capable of doing for themselves. If we take action and hand those tasks back to the people that should really be doing them, we will have some breathing space and will be able to complete our own ‘To Do’ list more efficiently and effectively.
The first part of
February is unlikely to improve our mood. Things might start breaking down and need repair, there could be tension amongst the people in our inner circle or a shortage of money. It might be challenging but we need to appreciate our wins – how we dealt with the situation when the car broke down, how we poured oil on troubled waters with an emotional family member or how we managed to juggle the household budget (add your own scenarios!) These things are meant to
try us, not to bury us and they are only temporary after all.
In the middle part of the month we could be feeling a bit exhausted or overwrought so how about we run away from home for a few hours – go for a walk, meditate in nature or just lock ourselves in the shed and read a book. This will help ground
us and give us the opportunity to decide what we need, without ‘helpful’ input from others – everyone has an opinion don’t you know! Some new romance might also unveil itself at this time, or renewed feeling within a current relationship. It could also come in the form of a new project or learning to love ourselves just that little bit more. Be aware of treading lightly, because whatever form it takes it is in the beginning stages and is like a match that has just been struck
which hasn’t had the time to become a real fire.
Towards the end of February tact and diplomacy will be required. Aggressive or pushy behaviour just won’t work in our favour – smiles will be more effective than growls. On top of that, our tendency will be to not listen to anyone around us which
isn’t a helpful combination. We would do well to take a deep breath, hear what people have to say and then make decisions based on the information provided – or completely discard it if it doesn’t resonate.
As we come to the end of the month fortunately the Ace of Cups has turned up to bring in a bit of
sunshine. After what could have been a difficult month for some, the energy of love and compassion arrives to, hopefully, herald a lighter and brighter March (we shall see!)
Our luck throughout the month is to be honest and transparent with people so that there are no misunderstandings which can come
back and bite us. Interestingly this is a similar energy to the card in the same position last month. We need to be clear about our thoughts, intentions and feelings with those in our lives that need to know. If we keep quiet and assume that they know where we stand on a particular issue, this could lead to an argument and bad feeling, and could possibly result in the ending of a friendship or relationship if the circumstances are serious enough.
Our main challenge this month is to accept vulnerability in ourselves and others. Though our tendency could be to cut ourselves off from society, we need people to help us and for us to help them in equal measure. Due to the slightly depressive feel to this month, it’s a good idea to have people around who we can have
a laugh or two with.
Summary – this month is about seeing the beauty in the little things and embracing gratitude and not letting the small stuff get us down.
Leaving you all on a positive note – February is the shortest month and March will be here before you know it. Just keep your eyes on the unicorns and rainbows and don’t sweat the small stuff.
