Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it and you will find it helpful.
This month I felt to add an extra
dimension to the monthly readings so have included a card to highlight any challenges we might face.
Cards duplicated in the last 6 months:
August, November and December - 5 of Wands
October and December – King of
Pentacles
July and December – 8 of Pentacles
There aren’t many repeated cards this month, but the ones that have presented themselves are all about money and the material things in life. The emphasis is on attracting more money to cover
expenses and to buy necessary items or get them repaired. This could manifest in starting new jobs or embarking on a course of study to increase our income.
As we start off this month we are actively seeking harmony and balance in our relationships. There is a real need to get along with the people in our lives – enough with the arguments and disagreements! There
is enough of those going on outside of our front doors!
The first part of December could find us digging our heels in and being decidedly stubborn. We aren’t prepared to make changes because we are resistant to venturing out from our comfort zones. However, what we are doing is blocking the possibility of money flowing in our direction by not embracing the larger
picture. We need to be open minded and see what comes to us when we remove the blockages. There is the potential of more money turning up in our lives so we would be wise not to shoot ourselves in the foot by getting on our high horse and thinking we have all the answers.
In the middle part of the month some of us could be starting a new job, or a project which is new to
us. It could be different from anything we’ve done before and possibly be related to some recent study we’ve engaged in. This has the potential of doing very well because smooth sailing is indicated and anxiety and tension will be behind us. Some of us could find ourselves travelling as well.
Towards the end of December there is a real push towards learning
new skills and self-development. We could find that we are actually very good at things we’d never even considered before. It’s a time of self-reflection and focusing more on the spiritual side of our natures. If we embrace the energy of this time, we could come out the other end with a deeper compassion and understanding of others, as well as a greater confidence in ourselves and what we are capable of. The sky’s the limit!
As we come to the end of the month we could be a bit worried about finances, or things breaking down that need repair, or even not being on the best of terms with people within our own circles. Just remember that these things shall pass and, after the holiday season, many of our bank accounts could feel a bit depleted anyway.
Our luck throughout the month is keeping our emotions under control and not getting into ego battles with others. It is well documented about family squabbles that get out of control over the Christmas period, but with a major arcana card turning up in the luck position, it is a warning that a situation could escalate very quickly and get out of control if we aren’t careful. Counting to 10 or even 100 is preferable! Our luck is
in rising above it all and being the grown up in the room.
Our main challenge this month is to deal with the things that aren’t quite right in our lives – the things or people that aren’t making us happy. That knowledge that some situation or other hasn’t worked out the way we had hoped it would, and we are in a quandary – do we put up and shut up or cut our losses. I feel
that this relates directly to the beginning of this reading when the tendency to stubbornness and resistance to change are indicated. We could block all kinds of good things coming our way if we hold on to the things or people that are holding us back, and that we don’t even like anymore.
Summary – this month is all about staying on good terms with the people around us and
being open minded and willing to embrace change. It’s also a time of doing some internal work, learning new skills and delving into the spiritual side of life even more.
I hope that December brings lots of joy and new and prosperous experiences into your lives and that you have a very Merry Christmas if you are someone who celebrates it.
