Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it and you will find it helpful.
Cards duplicated in the last 6 months:
February and April – Judgement
February and April – 10 of Swords
December and April – High Priestess
November and April – Death
November and April –
The Emperor
In my 27 years of reading the tarot I can’t remember any time that I drew 9 cards and 7 of them were Major Arcana. I am honestly blown away! April is set to be a powerful month and life-changing for some. The cards that have been duplicated from previous months talk about the end of
an era, following our intuition, new opportunities and walking our talk – along with spiritual help when we feel that we’ve come to the end of our tether and can’t go on.
As we start off this month we are immediately faced with the Judgement card which indicates the end of an era. There is no slow build up this month – we are being thrown into the deep end. Now is the time when we will reap the rewards of the efforts we have made thus far. On the flip side, if we have only been thinking about ourselves and not considering others, we will reap the rewards of that behaviour too! As my grandmother used to say ‘You can’t put a penny in and expect to get a sixpence out!’
The
first part of April heralds the Hierophant who is the teacher and is about our soul purpose. The questions we need to ask ourselves are: ‘Who am I?’, ‘What’s my purpose?’ and ‘Why am I on this planet at this time?’ This is the time to do a deep dive into our motivations, way beyond any material challenges we might have at this time. It’s a time of
meditation and reflection – getting in touch with our source and allowing the Universe to guide us and provide for us. If we embrace this learning about our soul journey we will be given the opportunity of a new way of life, if we can let go of the old. A new way will open up for us.
In the middle
part of the month we need to listen to our intuition and let it guide us. It will be getting stronger and we might feel as though we are on shifting sands. It can be quite disconcerting if we are used to exercising control on every aspect of our lives because our hearts and heads could be in opposition at times. We won’t go far wrong if we listen to
our bodies and how they feel in respect to any choices we might be asked to make. We would be wise if we can resist the urge to analyse our feelings into silence and/or non-existence. We need to acknowledge how we feel about certain situations and people and honour that feeling – there is a reason for it. We are being guided!
We also need to hold onto hope and faith in the midst of difficulties – whatever might be going on around us and in the world at large, we need to have faith that all will be well in the end – however unpleasant it might be at the moment. The old ways of being aren’t going to give up without a fight – there are too many people with a vested interest in their remaining. However, the tide is turning and
slowly, inch by inch, the new positive and loving energy will take over.
Towards the end of April we most likely won’t know if we are on our heads or our heels. We’ll feel as though we are in a boat on the ocean with no oars and no anchor. There will be a lot going on and this is why we need
to work on our inner selves in order to gain the strength necessary to ride the storm. If we are just focusing on the material and more superficial aspects of life, we can find ourselves thrown from pillar to post by all the fear based news which will be constantly increasing in intensity in order to paralyse us into acquiescence. If we feel overwhelmed, ask for help – ask the Universe, our guides and
spiritual helpers for support – whatever is right for us. They will be there for us and will help lighten our load by sending assistance in one way or another. We won’t be asked to shoulder more than we can physically handle.
As we come to the end of the month it’s time for us to walk our
talk. We need to pull ourselves up by the boot straps and decide which direction we want to go in. It’s a time for action, following a month of internal searching. We do need to make sure that we have all our ducks in a row though if we want to make a significant impact. When other people recognise that we are well
prepared and know what we’re talking about, they might just join us on our journey. Our message at this current time is ‘Walk beside me if you like, I’d be grateful for the company, but don’t get in my way because I’m going there anyway!’ Assertiveness and decisiveness are the key words here!
Our luck
throughout the month is holding onto our vision and not letting anyone side track us or put us into a layby. Persistence, trust in self and determination will see us through this month. If we don’t have a specific vision that keeps us focused at the moment, then let our vision be equality, unity and justice for all. Isn’t that a vision worth holding
on to? Health, wealth and happiness within the reach of everyone?
Wishing you all an amazing April. As I’ve said above, I am blown away by all the Major Arcana cards that showed up. Not just that, but the particular ones that showed up – they are all within the themes of self-knowledge, intuition, new
beginnings, faith in a better future and the strength to add our own contribution to that future.
