The themes that have carried on from last month are about new relationships and smoother sailing ahead. Carried forward from April is the energy of the counsellor and healer along with clearing of the air where there have been misunderstandings within relationships. The February energies which have shown up again are to do with the fire of the imagination and starting something
new, along with doing some reflection to see what we need to change about ourselves in order to progress in a more positive way.
As we start off this month there is a lot of energy of the imagination. Many of us will be excited about starting new projects, though we might not actually know where we are going or what direction they will take us in. The enthusiasm should be utilised to carry us forward with faith that the road will show itself as we travel
along it.
The first part of June is once again about new relationships, whether they are love related or business related. It’s about getting to know someone better and allowing them to get to know us in equal measure. In this instance it feels like a spiritual connection. There will be an emotional element to this relationship,
even if it’s not a romantic one. For example, if we are a counsellor or healer, we could start working with another person of a similar persuasion and enhance the work that we put out into the world. There will be a need for transparency and vulnerability within this relationship in order for it to become as powerful as it can become. There could be a tendency of wanting to give but not receive, or allowing ego to creep in which would water down the energy and benefit this
partnership is capable of.
In the middle part of the month there is a need for tact and diplomacy. Using force or being pushy in any way just isn’t going to work. We can’t force doors to open for us, and they are more likely to remain firmly shut if we show aggression in any form. If we are patient and take a more peaceful and measured approach,
people are more likely to want to help us. If we are feeling that the only way to be heard is to shout at the top of our voices, then it’s also a good time to reflect on our belief systems. Why do we feel that way and is it working for us? This method might have worked in the past, but it’s now time to re-evaluate and make some changes within ourselves. Maybe it’s about our internal beliefs, or it could be something physical like diet and exercise or giving up
smoking. I emphasise that it’s only what we ourselves feel we need to adjust, it’s nothing to do with anybody else and their opinions.
Towards the end of June there could be a tendency to take on more than we can physically handle, so it’s important to only commit to things that we know we can achieve whilst looking after our own needs as well. This could create a bit of friction with those of us who have previously been people pleasers. Our new habit of
putting ourselves and our own mental and physical health first might not please those who have got used to having us there at their beck and call. It is important that we stick to our guns, because the time for carrying people on our backs is fast coming to an end. Each of us has to be responsible for our own life journey. There are those amongst us whose life journey is all about caring for others – as in assisting those who need help to function, as in disability or sickness
of some kind. However, there are many more of us who are at the beck and call of perfectly healthy and able human beings, who are often just too lazy or feel too privileged to do things for themselves. It is one thing being paid to look after them, but quite another to have friends, family or work colleagues take advantage of us because we haven’t set any boundaries. The bottom line is that we need to make sure we are getting adequate sleep, rest and nutrition. If we
don’t have the time for these things, then it’s necessary to take stock and decide what or who needs to go.
As we come to the end of the month if we have done the internal work mentioned above -addressing our outdated habits and putting our basic needs first - then there will be a lovely feeling of smooth sailing with anxiety and tension behind us. Anxiety takes hold much more easily when we are run ragged, not eating or sleeping properly,
and are being used and abused by the people closest to us.
Our luck throughout the month is to hold on to the feeling of enthusiasm and optimism that we started the month with and not let others grind us down. By keeping this fire of optimism lit, we will more easily know our road and also that our dreams can be achieved.
June can be a challenging month for those of us who have the habit of putting our needs behind those of others. The initial enthusiasm and excitement about new possibilities can easily be worn down if we are constantly surrounded by people who insist that their needs are more important than ours. In reality, constantly helping people who are
quite capable of helping themselves does them no favours because it makes them more dependent and helpless over time. What on earth would they do if they were suddenly thrown into a situation where there was nobody to look after them?
Wishing you an illuminating month ahead which will prepare you for whatever July has in store.
